No you do not sound like an mean person or even close to slutty. What i think you did is hurt his feelings a little and maybe even though he was acting when he said he loved you he was probably saying it from the heart. Some boys really aren't good with that kinda thing only some.I think from what i read he sounds like a really nice guy and he sounds like he is interested in you. I think you should get closer to him & then ask him if he is interested in you. You will never know unless you try.
